FCC Approves Pantech Phone with AT&T Bands

Documents seen on the Federal Communications Commission web site provide details about a previously unannounced phone made by Pantech. The FCC confirms that the Pantech P8000 has GSM/EDGE 850/1900 and WCDMA 850/1900 on board, earmarking it for AT&T's network. Other details confirmed by the FCC include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios. A rendering of the handset depicts a bar-style phone with a camera placed on the back. Of note, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group recently approved the same phone, which is described as a "Pantech Android Smart Phone." The FCC documents don't confirm that, however.
