Qualcomm Has to Share Its Mobile Tech in Korea

Korean regulators have asked that Qualcomm share some of its proprietary mobile technology with cell phone makers and developers in Korea. Previously, Qualcomm charged companies such as LG and Samsung to use Qualcomm's software in order to develop for Qualcomm's chips. The Korean Fair Trade Commission said Qualcomm will begin to share some of its information starting in two to 10 months.
