Navteq, which is owned by Nokia, recently bought a company called Trapster. Trapster allows users of its iPhone and Android apps to report and avoid speed traps set by law enforcement, as well as other hazards that may be encountered on the road. A Navteq spokesperson said, "Navteq believes that community-generated data has a critical part to play in location content." The spokesperson declined to provide specifics about the financial details, but noted, "It's a small deal, even by Navteq standards."
