Foursquare App Adds Photos and Comments
Dec 20, 2010, 9:33 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Foursquare is pushing a major update out to its iPhone application that introduces two major new features: photo uploads and the ability to comment on check-ins. Users can upload their own photos of venues, as well as see the photos uploaded by their Foursquare friends. Foursquare has also added support for Instagram, which is a photo-sharing app for the iPhone. Users can also comment on their own check-ins as well as their friends' check-ins. Photos and comments are all preserved in the online version of Foursquare.com, allowing users to see their check-in history later, complete with images and discussions. Foursquare for iPhone will be available in the App Store later today. Foursquare says a similar update will be available for Android devices in the coming weeks.
