Amazon today launched the Kindle app for Windows Phone 7. The e-book reader software is available for free today, letting Kindle users read their purchased books on their Microsoft smartphone. Already available for other mobile platforms, the Windows Phone 7 version adds new features, including the ability to send book recommendations to a friend without leaving the app. Kindle is already available for iOS, BlackBerry, and Android, as well as PCs, Macs, and of course the Kindle e-reader.
