Qualcomm and ooVoo today announced that they are partnering up to bring an HD video chat client to mobile devices. The partnership makes use of Qualcomm's SnapDragon processors and ooVoo's media streaming software to deliver VGA quality video to up to six participants at a time. According to Qualcomm, the new solution offers better quality mobile video chats and has lower power requirements when compared to the competition. The solution is being demonstrated on an in-production Android handset at CES in Las Vegas this week. The companies didn't say when it would be offered to end users.
