Skype to Acquire Qik

Skype today announced plans to acquire Qik, which makes mobile video sharing software. Qik, which has 60 employees, is based in California. Terms were not disclosed, but Skype believes that Qik's video sharing technology will help it enhance its own offering. Qik has software available for most smartphone platforms. This is Skype's first acquisition.
