Microsoft has released a revised version of its Bing decision engine software for RIM's BlackBerry platform. The updated app now works with BlackBerry OS6 in addition to making other refinements for older BlackBerry OS's. New features listed by Microsoft include homepage hotspot, flight status, image search, and "what's nearby." The homepage hotspots are hidden in the Bing homepage image and provide more info about that particular image. The flight status feature lets users enter their flight number into the search tool and receive instant status updates. The "what's nearby" feature acts similar to Google Places, and will show users different points of interested that are in the vicinity of their handset. The updated software is free to download and use.

and then they realize...

It's still Bing.
Just installed and tried it on mu Torch. To put it nicely, not good. Also don't like that it keeps asking me to set permissions to use personal information every time I go in. Should be able to just set that once. Maps - works too slow.

Then again, its only a Blackberry
...
Frankly I am happy to have an alternative to Google, I am getting increasingly skeptical of Google and am reaching the point where I am starting to search for alternatives to Google services.

This Bings me up

👿

I have loved windows mobile for years, I like the way it works the same as your pc. I have taken the free windows mobile training, got certified and have a great working understanding. Windows mobile is a part of my home based business and I find it useful.

The problem or the thing that frost my shorts, they have created and continue to better their platform or other phones. They continue to better other devices, when was the last time you seen a win mo update.

Sprint can kiss it, they are retard it to think people with smartphones want to pay another 10. per month.

Had my touch pro2 switched to boost alot better.
Creating good software takes time....Windows Phone users have been waiting less than two months, Blackberry users have been waiting more than a year
