Twitter has provided a new version of its application for the Android platform. The latest version includes a significantly redesigned user interface, which Twitter says was made to look more like the official Twitter client for other platforms. Other features include auto-complete for Twitter names, and easier tools for managing Tweets, reTweets, and @replies. The search function has also been widely retooled, which allows for searches for specific people, terms, locations, as well as searches for friends directly from your address book. The updated software is a free download from the Android Market.
