The LiMo Foundation today announced the availability of LiMo 4, the latest version of its mobile Linux platform. LiMo 4 brings a number of improvements to the platform, including more widget support, multimedia support, social networking support and support for location based services, multi-tasking and multi-touch capabilities. LiMo 4 can also handle scalable screen resolutions, which allows it to be used on a wider range of device form factors. The LiMo Foundation expects the first LiMo 4 handsets to be available in the second half of the year.
