Lightsquared Adds Its First Two Wholesale Customers

Lightsquared says that it has signed service agreements with two, unnamed U.S. mobile network operators, which will be able to access and use Lightsquared's nationwide LTE network and offer it to their own customers. Lightsquared also revealed that conducting trials in Baltimore, Denver, Las Vegas and Phoenix, and plans to launch its first markets during the third quarter of the year. The company plans to cover 92% of the country with LTE services with 40,000 cell towers by the year 2015. Earlier this week, Lightsquared's main satellite passed its first series of tests after reaching orbit.
