ZTE Says It Will Bid on Nortel's Assets

Chinese telecom equipment and handset maker ZTE has indicated that it will participate in an auction for some of the remaining Nortel assets. In particular, ZTE is interested in Nortel's next-generation networking technology, some of which pertain to LTE. Other companies interested in bidding on the asets include Apple, Google, and Ericsson has said it is monitoring the auction. One the worth of the remaining patents is decided upon, the auction will proceed.
