Speaking at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Skype and Qik executives explained that merging their messaging, calling, and video calling technologies is going to take a bit of time. "We're collaborating with the Skype team from a technical standpoint," Qik co-founder Bhaskar Roy said. During this process, both Skype's and Qik's existing contracts (with Verizon, and Sprint and T-Mobile, respectively) will remain in place. Regarding whether or not Skype or Qik will create a relationship with AT&T, Skype's head of consumer product management, Rick Osterloh said, "Let's watch out for some announcements there."
