Lucent Announces Location Privacy Framework

Lucent Technologies' Bell Labs has announced a new technology designed to give mobile device users fine-grained control over when, how, and with whom information about their physical location can be shared. The technology, dubbed Privacy-Conscious Personalization (PCP), is based on Lucent's commercial Vortex rules engine, part of the company's MiLife™ Intelligent Services Gateway.
