Google Overhauls iPhone Search App
Mar 15, 2011, 3:39 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Google today announced a new version of its dedicated search application for the Apple iPhone. The new application makes a number of significant changes to the user interface. It includes more interactive options, such as swiping to access the search bar or settings, and a brand-new tool bar for accessing refined search results. The application also remembers its last state, meaning users can resume exactly where they left off when returning to the app, though they may just as easily start a new search. Google also made a number of tweaks to the Google Goggles, Voice Search, Search with My Location, and Gmail pieces of the application. The new Google Search application for the iPhone is a free download from the iPhone App Store.
