At its annual developer's conference next week, PalmSource will announce a new OS strategy. The company will provide developers with the new version 6 of the Palm OS, which will be renamed and positioned as a high-end OS, instead of an OS 5 replacement. OS 5 will also be renamed, and positioned as an OS for new lower-end cell phones. In an interview with CNET, PalmSource CEO David Nagel mentioned a $100 price point as a goal for OS 5 devices.
