Motorola Mobility today announced its intent to purchase a Swedish company called Dreampark. Dreampark creates software that uses open standards such as HTML and scalable vector graphics to repackage video content and distribute it to a number of different devices, including mobile phones and television sets. Dreampark will be folded into Motorola Mobility's Converged Experiences business. The deal is expected to close during the second quarter of the year. This is Motorola's fifth acquisition and/or investment in a media delivery software company this year.
