Google Subsidiary Launches Group Messenger App

Google-owned Slide Inc. on Friday released a new group messaging application called Disco messenger. The application, which initially is only available to the iPhone, lets people create and manage group messaging sessions. It creates a number for the group messaging sessions and then pushes the message from that number to all the participants. Everyone in the group — even non-iPhone users — can reply to everyone in the group and participate in the conversation. T-Mobile recently announced that the Android-based Sidekick 4G will have a group messaging feature, though it didn't say what company/service provides the software behind it.
