Google Outs Maps for Android 5.3 with Location Dashboard
Apr 4, 2011, 2:59 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Google today released Google Maps for Mobile 5.3 for the Android platform, which introduces a number of new features. The first is that users can toggle on a dashboard that shows their Latitude location history, including trends, cumulative distance traveled, and where they've spent the most time. Maps 5.3 lets users establish a home location (not searchable by others) and check in there. Last, it allows users to adjust different aspects of various locations, sort of like how "Tips" works in Foursquare. The update is free and works with devices running Android 1.6 and up.
