Boost Mobile and Samsung Announce Galaxy Prevail

Samsung and Boost Mobile today announced the Galaxy Prevail, Boost's first CDMA smartphone. The Prevail is a small mono-block style phone that runs stock Android 2.2 Froyo and has a 3.2-inch, 320 x 480 TFT display, 800MHz processor, and 2 megapixel camera with video capture. Other features of the Prevail include GPS, stereo Bluetooth, microSD card support up to 32GB, and a number of pre-installed applications, such as Poynt and Hookt. The device costs $179.99 and doesn't require a monthly contract. Monthly voice/data plans for the Prevail start at $50.

I'm just glad it has android 2.2 I wish it was and HTC phone instead of samsung. I am on Boost.

Oh ok, I get it, the "Galaxy" brand means jack crap and Samsung will just put it on *any* phone they want to market to some sucker to make them think it's a high end phone. Ok, glad we cleared that up. Not saying it's a bad phone with no contract for $179.99, but at this point I won't touch anything Samsung with a 1000ft poll.
