Panasonic Launches Series 60 Smartphone

Panasonic today introduced the X700, the company's first smartphone, using Nokia's Series 60 platform. The tri-band GSM clamshell device sports a camera with flash, dual color displays, and Bluetooth. Additional features include a miniSD card slot, class 10 GPRS, Java MIDP 2.0, infrared, and speaker-independent voice dialing. The X700 is expected to be available in Europe this fall.
