Samsung Fascinate Finally Finds Froyo

Verizon Wireless today announced that it will begin distributing the Android 2.2 Froyo update to the Samsung Fascinate starting Thursday, April 21. Customers will be able to download the update manually from the Fascinate's support site.

Most CDMA networks cannot do FOTA.

It's just not "automatic" like the Droid X Gingerbread update storming through the airwaves.

It's about *%^& time!

But, like always, I'll wait a few weeks before updating mine.

I'm not interested in beta testing a new firmware build, no matter how much I have the 2.1 I'm running.

The way Samsung does things, you won't be beta testing anything, not in the usual sense--that issues with the software will be fixed when found by the testers. I have a feeling that this update will be all you get; bugs or no bugs. I understand you ...
