Panasonic Announces Camcorder-Style Phone

Panasonic today announced the X300, a tri-band GSM camera phone with a unique display that flips out sideways, similar to a camcorder. The side-facing VGA camera includes video recording capability. The 65,000-color display pops open at the push of button, activating camera mode. The X300 is expected to be available in Europe this fall.
