May 19, 2011, 9:01 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Research In Motion today announced that Twitter 2.0 is no longer in beta and is available to all users wishing to download and use it. Twitter 2.0 for BlackBerry focuses on simplifying navigation in the application. For example, it combines a number of the different search tools into a single screen. For users with BlackBerry 6, Twitter for BlackBerry version 2.0 also supports Universal Search from within the Twitter search function, allowing users to find search items not only in Twitter, but on their device as well while using Twitter. Additionally, the nav bar also includes a new "Compose Tweet" button to create Tweets from anywhere in the app. The software is free.
