LG To Make FasTap Phone for Telus

Digit Wireless, LG Electronics, and Canadian carrier Telus Mobility today announced an agreement to produce the world's first phone with Digit's innovative FasTap text keypad. A modified LG 5450 with a FasTap keypad is being demonstrated at the CTIA Wireless show in Atlanta this week. LG is preparing a similar phone to be launched by Telus later this year. In a related announcement, Digit announced that Telus Ventures and Qualcomm have agreed to invest in the company, capping off a $4.3 million second round of financing.
