Nokia Intros Cross-Platform IM App

Nokia today announced IM for Nokia, a new instant messaging application that can interact with Ovi Mail accounts, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and MySpace IM. The free application, which is available in the Ovi Store, works over both 3G and Wi-Fi, and allows Nokia users to bypass text messages. IM for Nokia is initially available to the Nokia X6, Nokia 5230, Nokia N8, Nokia E7 handsets, as well as a handful of Series 40 phones.
