Siemens mobile and Research In Motion (RIM) recently announced that Siemens will license RIM's BlackBerry® always-on email technology for use in future Siemens phones. The phones will also include BlackBerry calendar and browser applications. Siemens joins other major phone makers who have signed similar deals with RIM, including Nokia, Sony Ericsson, and Samsung. Siemens plans to introduce a BlackBerry-enabled phone based on its own 65 platform in the fourth quarter of 2004.
