Nuance Aquires SVOX

Nuance Communications today announced that it has acquired a company called SVOX. SVOX provides the automotive industry with in-car voice services. Nuance believes that by adding SVOX's technology to its own, it will be able to create better, more natural, conversations between people and their mobile phones, electronics, and vehicles. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. In other Nuance news, the company today announced that it has closed on its acquisition of Equitrac, and Nuance is offering the American Spanish version of its FlexT9 app for Android for free for a limited time. The application is in the Android Market.
