Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray Boasts 8.1MP Camera

Sony Ericsson announced the Xperia Ray today, a new Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone that features an 8.1-megapixel camera with an Exmor CMOS sensor, face detection/recognition, autofocus, touch-to-focus, and 720p HD video capture. It has a 3.3-inch Reality Display with the Mobile Bravia Engine and 854 x 480 pixels. It comes with a bevy of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB, FM radio, and support for North American 3G networks. It will include a 4GB memory card in the box, and supports cards up to 32GB. It also has a front-facing VGA camera for video chats. It will ship to select markets in the third quarter of the year.

North American 3G networkS would mean AT&T AND T-Mobile. If it's 850/1900 UMTS, then it is one network only. (AT&T owns Rogers so Canada doesn't count).
