Opera Mobile and Mini Updated with Autosuggest
Jun 30, 2011, 7:06 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Opera Software today announced minor updates to both its mobile browsers. Opera Mini 6.1 and Opera Mobile 11.1 both gain new features to help reduce the amount of text entry necessary when filling out search queries. Both browsers now display search suggestions (from both Google and Yandex) as users type. Users can then select a search query before they complete typing the word to save time. The new browsers also offer better support for top-level domains, and the software will adapt to user behavior and make more appropriate suggestions over time. Opera Mini is available to devices running Java (J2ME), BlackBerry, S60, Android, and iOS. Opera Mobile is available to Android, S60, and MeeGo devices. Both versions are free.
