Verizon Names Yet More LTE Markets

Verizon Wireless today announced another handful of markets that will have access to its Long Term Evolution 4G network in the coming weeks. Some of the new markets include Bakersfield, Monterey, and Salinas, Calif.; Collins, Colo.; Council Bluffs, Iowa; Worcester, Mass.; Omaha, Neb.; Albany, Ithaca, and Syracuse, N.Y.; Altoona, and Johnstown, Pa.; and Provo/Orem, Utah. Most of these markets launch on August 18. In addition to the new markets, Verizon has also expanded its LTE footprint in a number of existing markets, including MetroWest, Mass.; Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio; and Nyack, West Nyack, Orangeburg, Pearl River and Spring Valley, N.Y.
