Adobe Offering HTML5 Authoring Tools for Web Video
Aug 1, 2011, 8:35 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Adobe today made an early preview of Adobe Edge available to developers for free. Adobe Edge is a new HTML5 design tool that will let designers embed Flash-like animation in their web sites using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS standards. With Adobe Edge, web site designers can create HTML5-based video content that can be played back in the WebKit browsers of mobile platforms such as Android, BlackBerry PlayBook OS, iOS, and webOS. Adobe hopes that web designers will take a look at the preview software (which isn't even in beta status, according to Adobe) and provide feedback on its capabilities and features.
