Verizon Wireless and Samsung today announced the availability of the Convoy 2, a new rugged, push-to-talk flip phone. The Convoy 2 was built for a life of hard knocks, and meets mil-spec 810F for durability and protection from the elements. Communication tools include stereo speakers, dual microphones for noise cancellation, mobile email, social networking, and PTT calls. Stand out features are a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, support for microSD cards, and support for some of Verizon's V CAST services. The Samsung Convoy 2 is available starting today for $79.99 after rebates with a new agreement.
