Symbian this week launched Symbian Signed, a new universal certification program for software and content for Symbian OS devices. The program is designed to make the certification process easier, cheaper, and more flexible for developers. Nokia, Sendo and Sony Ericsson announced that they will be migrating their own signing programs to Symbian Signed. Certification insures that applications follow industry-standard quality guidelines and support carrier requirements.
