Verizon Wireless today announced a new version of its V CAST Video service, which will be called simply Verizon Video moving forward. According to Verizon, the new version of the application offers higher-quality video content, access to more than 250 current TV shows from all the major broadcast networks, and live sporting event broadcasts. The new version of the application is available to Verizon's LTE 4G and select 3G phones. It costs $10 per month or $3 per day, and requires a separate monthly data plan. Current subscribers will be notified when the update is available to their handset. New customers can download the application starting today.
