Microsoft has released a significant update to its Windows Phone 7 Connector application for Apple computers. Version 2.0 of the software adds a large number of new features to improve the PC-syncing capabilities between WP7 handsets and Macs. The new software includes full sync/import compatibility with Apple's Aperture program; drag-and-drop support for files; ringtone syncing; improved video conversion; support for Windows Phone Marketplace; and added languages, more back-up and restore options, and improved iTunes, podcast, and photo syncing. Windows Phone 7 Connector 2.0 for Mac also adds compatibility with WP7.5 Mango handsets. The software is available for free via the Apple App Store, and requires OS X 10.6 and up.
