Speaking at the SalesForce.com event held in San Francisco last week, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt confirmed that the next version of Android, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, will be released at some point in October or November. Schmidt said during an interview, "We have a new operating system, internally known as Ice Cream Sandwich for some reason, which is being released in October/November, which everyone's really excited about."
