RIM and Dolby Bury Hatchet, Sign Licensing Agreement

Research In Motion and Dolby Laboratories today announced that all pending litigation between the two companies has been dropped now that RIM has signed a new licensing agreement with Dolby. Dolby sued RIM earlier this year for using its audio compression technologies in smartphones and the PlayBook tablet without licensing the technology from Dolby. Terms of the licensing deal were not disclosed.
