Facebook for Android has been updated to version 1.7 with several new features. The most obvious change is a redesigned user profile view and interface for composing status updates. The app now has buttons for quickly adding a check-in, photo, or post. It also has more control over tagging friends and places, and it has improved notifications, messages, and the photo gallery functions. The app also includes a handful of bug fixes. Facebook 1.7 for Android is a free update from the Android Market.
