Verizon Wireless today announced that it has redesigned the Verizon Android App store and integrated new search functions from Chomp. Chomp's search engine not only scans for applications by name, but also by what they do. Verizon believes that adding Chomp to its Android App Store will help its customers find the Android applications they want for their Verizon Android phones faster. Verizon is previewing the function to developers this week and expects the new store to go live on Android handsets later this year.
