ITC to Review Patent Decision Regarding HTC
Sep 16, 2011, 12:15 PM by Eric M. Zeman
The U.S. International Trade Commission indicated on Thursday that it has decided to review an earlier decision that found HTC to be in violation of Apple patents. The ITC will reexamine a number of factors within the patents themselves and the arguments used to render the initial judgement. It also plans to look in depth at how the patents and technologies are being used now by both Apple and HTC. Both companies need to supply the ITC with documentation by October. A trial date has been set for December. If the initial judgement is upheld, HTC may be blocked from importing certain devices into the U.S.
