Samsung's First WP7.5 Mango Phone Is the Omnia W

Samsung today announced its first smartphone to run Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5 Mango platform, the Omnia W. The Omnia W is a slab-style device with a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 480 x 800 pixels. Stand-out features of the Omnia W include a 1.4GHz processor, HSPA+ at 14.4Mbps down/5.76Mbps up, and a 5 megapixel main camera with LED flash and autofocus. Other notable hardware specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, GPS, FM radio with RDS, accelerometer, VGA user-facing camera, 720p HD video capture, and 8GB of on-board storage. The Omnia W will ship with a host of Samsung's custom software and services, such as the People Hub, Game Hub, Office Hub, Marketplace Hub, Music & Video Hub, and Picture Hub. The Omnia W is targeted at markets across Asia, Europe, and Central/South America. Samsung has not indicated if it will release this device in the U.S.
