LG today announced the LG Optimus LTE, a new Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone that includes a 4.5-inch, full 1280 x 720 HD IPS (in-plane switching) LCD display and Long Term Evolution 4G. The Optimus LTE has a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture, and DLNA support with an HDMI port. The LG Optimus LTE is currently scheduled to go on sale in Korea later this year. LG has not indicated if this phone will be sold in the U.S., though a number of LG's Optimus-branded handsets have reached American soil after Asian debuts.
