Rebtel recently made a new version of its application available to the iPhone. Rebtel provides VoIP-based calling services and promises to drastically reduce the cost of making international calls. The new features found in version 2.0 include the ability to make calls to other Rebtel users for free; the ability to switch between Wi-Fi, 3G, or a local access number; and integration with the iPhone's native contacts application. Rebtel said a similar update for Google's Android platform will be available soon.
