Google to Cease Offering Java Gmail App for BlackBerries
Nov 9, 2011, 8:05 AM by Eric M. Zeman
Google announced this week that it will no longer continue to develop or support the native application it created for the BlackBerry platform. The application, if already installed, will continue to work, but it will become unavailable for new download starting November 22. Google said that instead of committing resources to the native BlackBerry application, it will continue to refine Gmail as experienced through the BlackBerry browser.
