Qualcomm has indicated that South Korea-based Kyobo Book Center will be the first company to use its Mirasol display technology in an e-reader product it is developing. The Kyobo e-Reader will have a 5.7-inch Mirasol display, though the companies haven't said when the device will reach the market. Qualcomm has been developing Mirasol displays for years, which are low-energy rivals to displays such as Samsung's Super AMOLED displays. Qualcomm eventually hopes to supply smartphone and tablet makers with Mirasol displays.
