Skype today released version 2.6 for Android, which adds the ability to send photos, videos, files, and documents to other Skype contacts. According to SKype, the service is free and works over Wi-Fi or 3G cellular data plan. Skype said that it has worked to improve power requirements as well as improve video call quality in full-screen mode on select NVidia Tegra2-based tablets. Skype also added video support to the HTC Amaze 4G, Motorola Droid 4, and Motorola Droid RAZR. Skype hopes to add more devices to the list that support video over time. The application is a free download from the Android Market.
