Research In Motion today announced BlackBerry App World 3.1, a new version of the application store that adds a handful of new features. One of the primary new features is the ability to send gift requests to other BlackBerry Messenger users. The updated app store also fully activates the content rating system and associated parental filters. Last, BlackBerry App World 3.1 will now work over Wi-Fi even when there's no 3G network available. RIM said App World 3.1 will become available to users over the next few days, or can be downloaded immediately via App World.
