Sprint Launches First Smartphone

Sprint today launched its first non-PDA smartphone, the Samsung i600. The phone features Microsoft's Windows Mobile™ 2003 Software for Smartphone. The phone was first launched by Verizon last November, although with an older version of Windows Mobile. Sprint's version includes AudiblePlayer audiobook software from Audible, Inc., and Handango's InHand, an on-device catalog of applications and content. The i600 is available online and via business channels starting today, for $649.99.
