T-Mobile Expands 42Mbps and 21Mbps HSPA+ Footprints

T-Mobile USA today announced that it has expanded the reach of its HSPA+ network. The company said that it has added 12 new markets (Beaumont, Longview, Midland, and Tyler, Texas; Michigan City, Ind.; Modesto and Stockton, Calif.; Mount Vernon, Wash.; Naples and Punta Gorda, Fla.; Sandusky, Ohio; and Shreveport, La.) to those that support HSPA+ at 42Mbps, bringing the total 42Mbps coverage to 175 markets and 184 million POPs. T-Mobile also added nine additional markets to those providing HSPA+ at 21Mbps, bringing the total to 217 markets at 200 million people. T-Mobile also noted that it will receive, pending regulatory approval, a large package of AWS mobile spectrum in 128 Cellular Market Areas (CMAs), including 12 of the top 20 markets.

All this expanding 21 & 42 HSPA and Tmo's parent company is losing $
It just doesn't make sense, a company is losing $, and yet they have $ to expand HSPA 42, which a company 3x Tmo, ATT, isn't even doing.
